Some experimentation, oils on 18x24 paper. I used a paper towel to wipe on the hair. Nice soft look. I did do a little digital touching up. Enjoy the Holidays!

Quick oil pastel on paper with the addition of water mixable white and ivory black from a tube.
Those stray marks are from a marker drawing I did on the other side bleeding through. I like their randomness.

Just messing around last night with some Sennelier oil pastels. They are smooth and nice. Also used water soluble oil paints for the first time. Felt weird thinning with water, but I like them so far.

I just came back from seeing the J.W. Waterhouse show in Montreal CAN. Wow!! Super inspired and ready to do some serious artwork! That show will be there until Feb 7, 2010. Go if you can!

Sorry for the long delay, been messing with oil paints trying to get them to work. I've been painting en plein air and really enjoy it! I am doing many small studies (6x9") and will post any interesting ones. This one is not plein air, but any studio work I get in couldn't hurt! This is on that Canva-Paper by Canson. I love it.
